Foraging Group's Morning Debrief Draws a Request for Disclosure
The morning foraging group that flies the Sycamore Lane circuit has begun ending each outing with a debrief — a short accounting, over the wire, of which birds were seen where, with whom, and looking how. A male whose nest the route passes has asked to see what the group has on him.
He was told there is nothing to see. The group keeps no file, takes no notes, posts nothing. "We discuss what we observe and then we go home," said Cheryl Sparrow, who flies in the group. "There is no document. There is only what we know." Asked what they know, she said that was between the group.
The male has asked the district to compel disclosure. The group has offered, instead, to add him to the debrief.
