Foraging Group Adjusts Route to Pass New Resident's Nest More Often
A morning foraging group on Sycamore Lane has changed its route so that it now passes the nest of a newly arrived male several times each morning. The group describes the change as unrelated to him.
Cheryl Sparrow, who flies in the group, said the route was chosen for ground cover. "We are not watching anyone. We forage in his area, in a group, on a schedule, and we discuss what we find afterward — but that is foraging."
The group added a second pass after the male began keeping to the back of his nest. Sparrow said the second pass was also about ground cover. "Just for context, he has nothing to hide. And we would know."
